Auto Renewal Policy
Table of Contents
Purpose
GPowerHost encourages customers to auto-renew their payment methods for all products and services. This is designed to ensure continuity of service. Without such practice, customers would often forget to renew their service (missing renewal notices perhaps due to a vacation) only to find out later that they’ve lost important service, damaged their public image or lost valuable revenue.
PayPal Subscriptions
We recognize the need for customers to keep their credit card information safe. PayPal offers a subscription service that allows customers to set up recurring or "pre-approved payments" all the while keeping their financial information safe. PayPal customers must opt-in to auto renew a payment via the "Subscribe" link that will appear on invoices when this option is available. Customers can cancel, manage funding sources and otherwise manage their PayPal subscription by logging in to PayPal. Depending on the type of PayPal account they have, subscriptions can often be managed in PayPal by clicking on "My Account", then "Profile", then "My Money" and then editing the subscription under the "My pre-approved payments" area.
Payment Cancellation
PayPal customers are responsible for setting up and maintaining the PayPal recurring transactions. Cancelling a service in the GPowerHost customer support area does not cancel any seemingly connected PayPal pre-approved payments. As part of your PayPal protections, PayPal only allows its users to cancel their own pre-approved payments via logging in to PayPal. Conversely, cancelling a PayPal pre-approved payment does not cancel your services in the GPowerHost customer support area (see: Billing overview, Order Cancellation Procedure).
Payment Dates
For customers with PayPal pre-approved payments actively setup, the recurring (e.g.: monthly, annually) payments are subsequently made based on the calendar date that they were originally set up on and are not affected by GPowerHost’s billing cycles. Therefore, it is important that customers ensure that they setup PayPal recurring pre-approved payments on the day of the month that they want all subsequent payments to occur. It is possible for customers to set up recurring, pre-approved payment plans that could cause late payments to GPowerHost. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure that any payment plan set up occurs and recurs on the appropriate dates. We recommend that customers set up PayPal pre-approved payments to occur at least five days before the payment due date to allow for delayed payment due to funding source unavailability or slowly posting transactions such as eCheck (not recommended).
Refunds
Renewed services are excluded from the GPowerHost 30 Day Refund Policy as that policy is only for new customers, not renewals. Of course, if you setup a recurring payment in error, we will gladly and promptly return any funds (not applied to an open balance) upon request.
